Jurida Çeka- Vodafone Albania
My name is Jurida Çeka, student of the Economics Department, and I would like to share with you my internship experience at Vodafone Albania .
Last summer I was given the opportunity to be full-time engaged in one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Albania, Vodafone, for a period of 2,5 months. As part of the Third Career Fair organized by EPOKA University I attended an interview by the recruiting team of the company and after some days I was contacted by them to offer me a position.
I was part of the Internal Communications Management sector and my position was manager assistant. My tasks were various and the work there was quite intensive. I was responsible for communicating important information to all employees, thus I became familiar with the ways the company was functioning. I assisted my manager in different workshops that we as a department organized and I was in charge of some specific database management such as activities or publications. Moreover, I was invited in important internal events where for the first time in my life I experienced being surrounded by real professionals and knowing about their perspectives on real work-related issues.
Besides the technical part of my work position, I learned a lot about the ethics inside the company and cooperation skills. My manager, who was a real expert and a very innovative person, was very dedicated to my performance by helping and supporting me all the time, for which I am profoundly thankful.
In general, I would describe my experience there as extremely valuable and pleasing at the same time. Therefore, I recommend anybody to benefit from these opportunities that our CPAO office is proving to us because it is doing an amazing job to make our path to career life easier and stable.
Viola Xhafa- Deloitte Albania and Kosova
Interning in one of the Big Four's has been one of my TOP priorities since when I chose my field of study. Making it true last summer by interning at Deloitte Albania and Kosovo, was for sure a milestone that I achieved not only due to my academic results but, also due to the opportunities offered by our Career Planning and Alumni Office, for which I am very thankful.
Being an intern at Deloitte, helped me have the holistic view of what my future would be like, by enhancing my understanding on my field of study, of the overall working environment and the specifics of what it takes to be the best candidate.
It was not as challenging as I had envisioned, but for sure it's an experience that I would recommend to everyone that yearns for self-development and strives for excellence.
Anxhela Dulla- Gener 2
I am Anxhela Dulla from the Civil Engineering Department, a 3rd year student. Internships can be quiet hard and require hard work and discipline. I had the chance to experience real civil engineering work through my summer practice. I worked at GENER-2 sh.p.k at the project “Construction of outer ring road of the city, northeast part Loti 1”. I had the opportunity to put to use what knowledge I had as a civil engineer. It was truly a great experience which helped me form as a civil engineer to be. One of the best skill that I received was time management. I spent all my time at the construction site and observed the engineers, how they worked and solved their problems. This enabled me to observe and understand how to spend my time wisely. I had the chance to learn from another engineer’s experience. I was taught how to work with legal documents and understand what the processes of the work were. This opportunity has been an excellent and rewarding experience.
Megi Ibi- Intesa Sanpaolo Bank
My name is Megi Ibi and I am currently studying Banking and Finance at Epoka University. After the second year of my studies I applied through Career Planning and Alumni Office for an internship at Intesa San Paolo Bank. Through this internship I expanded my network and my knowledge on banking. The most profitable things from the month I was there are that I have a clearer view of what is happening in the banking world and that I have a better idea of the type of job I want for my future including the master program I will follow on the years to come. Even though it was only one month, my internship included different departments such as Archive, Retailing and Human Resources. The environment was really friendly and makes you feel comfortable working there. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to everybody.
